BPM Minerals Hits 18m at 4.93g/t Gold as 44 More Holes Await Results
Key Takeaways
- BPM hit 18m @ 4.93 g/t Au from 245m in FLRC076 at Beachcomber, with internal zones up to 1m @ 38.23 g/t, which the CEO called the project's best result in a year.
- Only 9 Main Lode holes have reported so far, with 44 completed RC holes still awaiting assay out of 53 holes and 9,060m drilled.
- Mineralisation spans 300m of strike and 250m of dip to about 250m vertical depth, and stays open to the south and down plunge.
- A maiden JORC-compliant resource is targeted for H1 2027, with assays flowing progressively from Q4 2026 to Q1 2027.
- Bonnie & Clyde is the second catalyst, with a 65-hole, 10,000m program underway and a 6km untested gold-in-soil anomaly on the Yellow Dam Shear Zone.
Beachcomber delivers 18m @ 4.93 g/t Au in first assays from 53-hole RC program
BPM Minerals (ASX: BPM) has reported a standout intercept of 18m @ 4.93 g/t Au from 245m (FLRC076) at the Beachcomber Main Lode, part of the Forelands Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. It is the first batch of assays from the ongoing 20,000m Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Beachcomber and Bonnie & Clyde Prospects.
The results cover the first 9 holes at the Main Lode. In total, 9,060m across 53 RC holes have been completed across the broader Beachcomber area, which includes the Main Lode, Beachcomber North-West and Beachcomber Central.
Oliver Judd, CEO
“This is the best drilling result we have achieved at Beachcomber over the past year…”
A further 44 completed RC holes are still awaiting assay. For you as an investor, that means a deep pipeline of results is still to come from holes already in the ground.

Key intercepts and the high-grade shoot
Drilling at the Main Lode was designed to test the down dip extensions of the high-grade, southerly plunging shoot and to infill that zone ahead of a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The table below lists the key intercepts from the first nine holes.
Latest results from the Beachcomber Main Lode
| Hole ID | Interval | Grade (g/t Au) | From (m) | Notable inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FLRC076 | 18m | 4.93 | 245 | 1m @ 10.12 g/t from 246m; 2m @ 16.62 g/t from 252m; 1m @ 38.23 g/t from 261m |
| FLRC072 | 2m | 10.79 | 167 | Also 2m @ 7.21 g/t from 174m; 5m @ 1.79 g/t from 150m |
| FLRC077 | 15m | 1.33 | 260 | Also 6m @ 1.44 g/t from 248m |
| FLRC078 | 5m | 1.16 | 294 | None reported |
The FLRC076 result stands out because of its width and its internal high-grade zones. Grade is measured in grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, so higher numbers mean more gold in each tonne of rock.
Footprint and continuity
Mineralisation has been consistently intersected over 300m of strike and 250m of dip, with gold now intersected to about 250m vertical depth. The lode remains open to the south and down plunge, which the company describes as a clear target for further extensional drilling.
“Open” means drilling has not yet found the edge of the mineralisation. That matters because every extra metre of continuous gold adds to the potential size of the system.
The two thickest intercepts (FLRC076 and FLRC077) suggest the thickness of mineralisation may have potentially increased in the deeper part of the gold system. Additional RC drilling is already complete and awaiting assay, with further holes planned for this zone.
These results build on a known system. Earlier results, previously reported and including drilling by AngloGold Ashanti and BPM, include:
- 3m @ 65.8 g/t Au from 25m (ZSAC0087)
- 2m @ 20.95 g/t Au from 266m (FLRC069)
Why Beachcomber’s geology matters to investors
An RC drill program fires a hammer-driven bit into the ground and returns rock chips to surface, which are sampled each metre and assayed for gold. A plunging shoot is a higher-grade zone within a larger lode that tilts in one direction, here towards the south-east.
The Forelands Gold Project is prospective for Tropicana-style mineralisation on the western margin of the Albany Fraser Orogen, the reworked margin of the Yilgarn Craton. The 75km Yellow Dam Shear Zone runs through the project area, and Beachcomber sits on this fault.
Drilling indicates a stacked quartz vein system, interpreted as two parallel veins hosting high-grade gold, and coarse gold has been observed within them.
A thin veneer of sands masks the surface, with the base of complete oxidation averaging 14m across drilling. The company says this indicates mineralisation is likely to continue to near-surface, and that grades appear coherent with no significant evidence supergene processes have materially altered them relative to fresh rock.
Why does that matter to you? Consistent grade is what underpins a resource estimate, and the company says these results will underpin a maiden JORC-compliant MRE.

Path to a maiden JORC resource and Bonnie & Clyde catalyst
Timeline
The company outlined the following sequence:
- Bonnie & Clyde RC drilling is set to recommence in the coming days after a short weather-related pause, with 4 of 65 holes complete in a 10,000m program expected to take 2 months.
- Remaining Beachcomber assays, including Beachcomber NW and Central, are expected over the coming quarter (Q4 2026).
- Beachcomber and Bonnie & Clyde assays are expected progressively from Q4 2026 to Q1 2027.
- A maiden JORC-compliant MRE is targeted for H1 2027.
The drilling program is co-funded by the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).
District-scale upside
Beyond the Main Lode, the announcement points to a larger footprint:
- A consolidated landholding of about 630 km², roughly 150 km east of Kalgoorlie
- Bonnie & Clyde’s untested, 6km long, >100ppb gold-in-soil anomaly associated with the Yellow Dam Shear Zone
- Beachcomber Central’s 1m @ 85.61 g/t Au
Proximity to multiple existing and proposed mills within a 200 km radius is described as providing optionality for toll treatment of future resources. That is potential only at this stage.
Judd said that with the 65-hole program underway again, remaining Beachcomber results flowing through and a maiden MRE targeted for the first half of 2027, “shareholders can look forward to a steady stream of news as we continue to deliver.”
