iTech Minerals Extends Sabre Gold Shoot to 270m Depth With 25m at 4.88g/t Gold
Key Takeaways
- Shoot 1 at Sabre now extends from about 100m to about 270m below surface and remains open at depth, more than doubling its drilled vertical extent.
- The headline hole SBRC26-017 returned 25m @ 4.88 g/t Au and 0.85% Sb from 242m, including 10m @ 8.50 g/t Au, the highest gold grades in the program.
- A second shoot sits about 120m south beneath outcrop with rock chips of up to 182 g/t Au, while modelling points to Shoots 3 and 4 across more than 400m of strike.
- At least 2 deep diamond holes start in mid-November targeting 300-400m, with later phases aiming below 500m after the wet season.
- True widths, pending assays, metallurgy and any Mineral Resource remain unresolved, so this is a scale story rather than a defined deposit.
Sabre drilling extends gold-antimony Shoot 1 to 270m depth at Reynolds Range
Most drilling updates tell you a discovery is bigger. This one tells you how much deeper it goes. iTech Minerals reported on 6 October 2026 that deep reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Sabre gold-antimony Prospect, part of its 100%-owned Reynolds Range Gold-Antimony Project in the Northern Territory, has extended the main shoot (Shoot 1) from approximately 100m to approximately 270m below surface.
The shoot remains open at depth. The headline intercept was 25m @ 4.88 g/t Au and 0.85% Sb from 242m in hole SBRC26-017.
A second shoot (Shoot 2) has also been identified approximately 120m south of Shoot 1. The deepest intercept in SBRC26-017 ends at 276m downhole, which the company says extends Shoot 1 approximately 170m below the deepest mineralisation in previous iTech drilling, more than doubling its drilled vertical extent.
That matters because depth is a core test of scale. A mineralised zone that persists well below where it was first found suggests a larger system, though the company notes further drilling is needed.
Mike Schwarz, Managing Director
“…identifying a second gold shoot 120m to the south gives us strong encouragement that we are cracking the code at Reynolds Range and with 13km of highly anomalous ground to explore, there are more gold-antimony shoots to be discovered.”

Shoot 1 results show grade holding at depth
The company states that gold and antimony grades are maintained with depth. The 25m intercept from 242m lies approximately 240m to 260m below surface and includes the highest gold grades returned in the program.
Key intercepts
The table below sets out the main gold-focused results. All intervals are downhole widths, reported at a 0.5 g/t Au lower cut-off.
| Hole | Interval | Au g/t | Sb % | Shoot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SBRC26-017 | **25m** from **242m** | **4.88** | **0.85** | Shoot 1 |
| SBRC26-017 (included) | **10m** from **245m** | **8.50** | **1.83** | Shoot 1 |
| SBRC26-016 | **28m** from **192m** | **3.23** | **0.40** | Shoot 1 |
| SBRC26-016 (included) | **11m** from **207m** | **4.81** | **0.78** | Shoot 1 |
| SBRC26-008 | **21m** from **81m** | **2.04** | Not stated | Shoot 2 |
| SBRC26-009 | **6m** from **67m** | **2.62** | Not stated | Shoot 2 |
Holes SBRC26-016 and SBRC26-017 were collared near-vertical and flattened progressively towards the north-west and west with depth, tracking down the steeply dipping shoot.
High-grade zones
Six individual metre samples from the two deep holes returned more than 10 g/t Au. The peak was 1m @ 14.57 g/t Au and 3.95% Sb from 248m in SBRC26-017, within 4m @ 11.35 g/t Au and 2.35% Sb from 248m.
In SBRC26-016, 2m @ 10.94 g/t Au was returned from 215m. Antimony stays closely associated with gold at depth, with SBRC26-017 returning 9m @ 2.07% Sb and 8.63 g/t Au from 244m.
Broad mineralised intervals
The two deep holes also returned long mineralised intervals: 209m @ 1.14 g/t Au from 24m (SBRC26-016) and 136m @ 1.61 g/t Au from 140m (SBRC26-017).
These are downhole lengths, not true widths. Both holes were drilled at a low angle to the shoot, and true widths are not yet known. The intervals include 121m and 59m respectively of material below 0.5 g/t Au, so they should not be read as the thickness of the shoot.
What they show is vertical continuity. Gold mineralisation was intersected repeatedly between approximately 25m and 225m below surface in SBRC26-016 and between approximately 140m and 270m in SBRC26-017.
Shoot 2 and what it means for Reynolds Range
Shoot 2 sits directly beneath outcrop that returned rock chips of up to 182 g/t Au (ASX: ITM 5 July 2024). That links high-grade surface sampling to mineralisation at depth.
It has been tested by iTech drilling only to approximately 150m below surface and remains open at depth. Modelling of all drilling also outlines two further zones to the north and north-west (Shoots 3 and 4) that have not yet been tested by iTech drilling.
The four shoots are steep, sub-parallel bodies distributed over more than 400m of strike, with Shoot 1 the deepest and best drilled. The grade shells behind this picture are interpretive and extend beyond drilling in places. They are not a Mineral Resource estimate or an Exploration Target.
Both shoots lie adjacent to east-west trending dolerite dykes where the dykes cross the Sabre structure. The company is assessing this relationship as a possible control on the position of the shoots.
SBRC26-020 returned 10m @ 1.49 g/t Au from 209m, approximately 50m east of SBRC26-017 at the same depth. The company says this may represent a separate parallel zone that requires follow-up.
Some assays are still pending. Gold results for the remaining intervals of SBRC26-007 to SBRC26-013 are outstanding, so the SBRC26-008 intercept remains open downhole.
What is a gold-antimony shoot?
A shoot is a steeply plunging zone of mineralisation within a larger structure. For you as an investor, plunge and depth continuity matter because they indicate how far a zone may extend, which in turn shapes project scale.
Gold and antimony occurring together is also worth noting. At Sabre, antimony (as stibnite) is intimately associated with gold. The company states that no metal equivalents are being reported, and metallurgical test work to determine recoveries is underway.
The company notes similarities to the epizonal (shallow-level) orogenic gold-antimony systems of central Victoria, most notably the Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project (Southern Cross Gold Consolidated). The comparison is on geological style only, and it should not be assumed that outcomes at those projects will be predictive of Sabre.
Three characteristics underpin the comparison:
- Steep structural control
- Close coupling of gold and antimony
- A metasediment-hosted setting

Next steps: deep diamond drilling from mid-November
The company has outlined the following planned work:
- The next phase of drilling is planned to begin in mid-November, with at least 2 deep diamond holes aimed at extending Shoot 1 to depths of 300-400m.
- Phases 2 and 3 will likely commence early in the new year after the predicted wet season, aiming to extend the shoot below 500m vertical depth.
- Additional follow-up drilling is planned to test Shoot 2 below 150m and provide structural information to determine true width.
- Outstanding assays for SBRC26-007 to SBRC26-013 will be reported once received, with Falchion Prospect results reported separately.
- Detailed soil sampling is planned to define additional drill targets, and a drone magnetic survey is being acquired.
The Reynolds Range project covers 791km² across four granted Exploration Licences. SQM International Pty Ltd has the option to earn up to 70% of the lithium mineral rights, while iTech retains the right to 100% of all other commodities.
The takeaway is measured. The depth extension, a second shoot and 13km of highly anomalous ground give the project a clearer scale story, but true widths, pending assays and metallurgy remain unresolved.
