The Big Jim main structure consists of an observed 2m shallow-dipping vein, dipping at 15–20° west, returning 99.9%, 99.9%, 99.7% and 99.5% CaF₂ — near-pure fluorspar at surface.
The footwall to the vein is a breccia zone also observed at approximately 2m width, returning 37.4% CaF₂. The base of that breccia was not observed, so true width remains unknown. The hanging wall iron-oxide zone returned 3.5% CaF₂, indicating some leakage of mineralising fluids above the main vein.
Historic workings with multiple adits indicate a strike length of approximately 200m, and surface soil sampling shows highly anomalous results along strike to the north, suggesting potential continuation.
The Big Jim fluorspar rediscovery established the historical context for this corridor, with earlier work confirming the lode’s continuity and providing the structural baseline against which the current sampling programme has now been extended north and east.
Rocket — high-grade veins in brecciated limestone
The Rocket vein is a brecciated and silicified structure hosted in Pogonip Formation Limestones, dipping shallowly west and potentially parallel with bedding — a geometry similar to Big Jim.
In-situ sampling returned 88.8% CaF₂ from fluorspar veins in the brecciated, silicified outcrop. Nearby float samples interpreted as sourced from Rocket returned 99.9%, 97.0%, 90.6% and 74.0% CaF₂. A possible second mineralised zone (Rocket Upper) was also sampled during a recent site visit, with assays pending.
Spar — a different structural style, 450m east of Big Jim
Located approximately 450m east of Big Jim, the Spar prospect shows a structurally distinct mineralisation style: steeply dipping veins up to 2m wide along ENE-WSW striking felsic dyke contacts.
Assay results from Spar returned 94.3%, 94.1% and 87.1% CaF₂. A low-grade halo was noted around the high-grade structures, with clay on the dyke contact returning 6.6% CaF₂ and the dyke itself returning 1.0% CaF₂. Importantly, the dykes are resistant to weathering and can be traced across the topography toward Big Jim, forming a potential along-strike target area.
