iTech Minerals Hits Record 6.32% Antimony as Falchion Gold Zone Grows Deeper

iTech Minerals Falchion antimony results deliver 6m at 1.64% Sb, a record 6.32% Sb metre and gold intersected 115m deep, with the eastern zone still open.
By William Hadrian -
  • FLRC26-010 returned 6m at 1.64% Sb including 2m at 4.34% Sb, and a single metre at 6.32% Sb and 1.75 g/t Au is the highest antimony grade iTech has drilled at Falchion.
  • All three eastern step-out holes hit antimony, extending the zone to about 70m of strike between roughly 35m and 50m below surface, still open to the east and at depth.
  • The main gold zone was intersected about 115m below surface at 3m at 2.29 g/t Au, with FLRC26-014 adding 6m at 2.14 g/t Au and 1.04% Sb.
  • Diamond drilling at the Sabre Prospect, about 1.6km east, is planned for mid-November, alongside follow-up drilling at Falchion and new soil and drone magnetic surveys.
  • No Mineral Resource or Exploration Target exists yet, true widths are unknown and metallurgical recovery test work is still underway.

High-grade antimony and deeper gold intersected at Falchion

Five further reverse circulation (RC) holes at the Falchion Prospect, part of iTech Minerals‘ 100%-owned Reynolds Range Gold-Antimony Project in the Northern Territory, extended the eastern antimony zone and intersected the main gold zone at greater depth. RC drilling is a method that returns rock chips to surface in one-metre samples.

The headline results were 6m at 1.64% Sb including 2m at 4.34% Sb in FLRC26-010 and 6m at 2.14 g/t Au and 1.04% Sb in FLRC26-014. Antimony (Sb) is the metal, and g/t Au means grams of gold per tonne of rock.

A single metre from 55m in FLRC26-010 assayed 6.32% Sb and 1.75 g/t Au. The company states these are the highest antimony grades returned from iTech’s drilling at Falchion to date.

Every eastern step-out hole hit antimony, and the best grades came from the easternmost hole. That consistency is what you want to see from step-out drilling, because it suggests the zone is not a one-hole fluke.

“Falchion continues to grow, with every step-out hole to the east intersecting antimony mineralisation and the strongest grades returned from the easternmost hole drilled to date…”

Eastern antimony zone grows to about 70m of strike

Three step-out holes, three hits

Three holes were drilled at approximately 25m spacing east of FLRC26-009, which returned 8m at 0.95% Sb from 46m (reported 12 August 2026). All three new holes intersected antimony at a similar depth.

Hole From (m) Interval Sb % Au g/t
FLRC26-009 46 8m **0.95** Not stated in this release
FLRC26-010 54 6m **1.64** 0.43
FLRC26-011 50 10m **0.91** 0.26
FLRC26-012 43 9m **0.57** 0.30

Higher-grade “including” intervals sat inside each hole: 2m at 4.34% Sb and 1.15 g/t Au from 54m (FLRC26-010), 1m at 3.72% Sb and 1.48 g/t Au from 50m (FLRC26-011), and 1m at 3.55% Sb and 1.96 g/t Au from 43m (FLRC26-012).

Antimony has now been intersected in four holes over approximately 70m of strike, between approximately 35m and 50m below surface. The zone remains open to the east, where there is no drilling on its projected strike beyond FLRC26-010.

Gold travels with antimony

Gold of 1.15 to 1.96 g/t Au sits within the high-grade antimony intervals, and gold within the eastern zone is highest where antimony is highest. For investors, that pairing matters because gold and antimony together can improve how a discovery is viewed.

FLRC26-010 also carried lead and silver, at 6m at 0.99% Pb and 7.6 g/t Ag from 54m. The mineralogy of those lead- and silver-bearing intervals has not yet been determined.

The zone has not been tested by iTech’s drilling below approximately 50m, and it remains open at depth.

Main gold zone intersected about 115m below surface

Two holes drilled to 150m tested the main Falchion gold zone below earlier intercepts. Both intersected it.

  • FLRC26-013: 3m at 2.29 g/t Au from 129m, approximately 115m below surface and approximately 40m below the FLRC26-007 intercept (7m at 2.48 g/t Au). It is the deepest gold intercept in iTech’s drilling at Falchion.
  • FLRC26-014: 6m at 2.14 g/t Au and 1.04% Sb from 117m, including 1m at 4.04 g/t Au, 2.64% Sb and 80.1 g/t Ag from 122m. It sits approximately 65m below the FLRC25-001 intercept.

The two intercepts are approximately 30m apart along strike, and the zone remains open at depth.

What gold-antimony systems mean for investors

Epizonal systems are shallow-level deposits formed in the upper part of the Earth’s crust, where gold and antimony often occur together. Antimony is classed as a critical mineral, a label governments and industry give to metals considered important to supply chains.

iTech interprets Falchion as the upper levels of an epizonal Sb-As-Au system, in which antimony-dominant mineralisation may pass into gold-bearing mineralisation with depth. This interpretation is yet to be tested by the company’s drilling.

Falchion Prospect Conceptual Depth Model

The company draws geological style comparisons to the Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project, and the Fosterville and Costerfield deposits in Victoria. These comparisons are on geological style only, and it should not be assumed that results at those projects are indicative of outcomes at Falchion.

A few plain facts help frame the results:

  • All intercepts are downhole lengths. True widths are not yet known and will be less than the downhole lengths.
  • No Mineral Resource or Exploration Target has been estimated at Falchion.
  • Metallurgical test work is underway to determine gold and antimony recoveries.
  • FLRC26-011, FLRC26-012 and FLRC26-013 were only partly assayed, with selected intervals submitted.

Next steps: follow-up drilling and Sabre diamond program

iTech outlined the following planned work:

  1. Follow-up drilling at Falchion to test the eastern antimony zone to the east and at depth, and the main gold zone below current drilling.
  2. Diamond drilling at the Sabre Prospect, approximately 1.6km to the east, planned to begin in mid-November to test the main gold shoot at depth.
  3. Detailed soil sampling along extensions of the structures hosting Sabre and Falchion, to define additional drill targets.
  4. An additional detailed drone magnetic survey is being acquired, to be released to market once interpretation is complete.

The Reynolds Range project covers 791km² and sits within the >42km Stafford Gold Trend. SQM International Pty Ltd has the option to earn up to 70% of the lithium mineral rights only, and iTech retains the right to 100% of all other commodities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is antimony and why is it called a critical mineral?

Antimony (Sb) is a metal that governments and industry classify as a critical mineral because it is considered important to supply chains. At Falchion it occurs alongside gold.

What were the best antimony results from iTech Minerals at Falchion?

The headline result was 6m at 1.64% Sb including 2m at 4.34% Sb in FLRC26-010. A single metre from 55m returned 6.32% Sb and 1.75 g/t Au, the highest antimony grade iTech has drilled at Falchion.

What does downhole length mean in drilling results?

Downhole length is the distance measured along the drill hole, not the true thickness of the mineralisation. iTech says true widths at Falchion are not yet known and will be less than the reported intercepts.

What is iTech Minerals planning next at the Reynolds Range project?

iTech plans follow-up drilling at Falchion, diamond drilling at the Sabre Prospect from mid-November, detailed soil sampling and a further drone magnetic survey. Metallurgical test work on gold and antimony recoveries is also underway.

Does iTech Minerals have a resource estimate at Falchion?

No. The company states that no Mineral Resource or Exploration Target has been estimated at Falchion, so the results are drill intercepts only.
