“GR Engineering is pleased to be working again with the Develop team. This project further enhances GR Engineering’s reputation as the leading minerals processing EPC contractor in Australia across a broad range of commodities.”
What an EPC contract means for investors
An engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract means GR Engineering takes responsibility across design, sourcing of equipment and materials, and construction of the processing plant. For GNG investors, EPC awards represent secured, contracted revenue that flows directly into the order book.
This structure provides visibility over future earnings and cash flow. The contractor manages execution risk across all three phases, delivering the completed facility to the client.
Key investment case points this award supports:
- Adds $275 million to GR Engineering’s contracted workload
- Managing Director Tony Patrizi describes GR Engineering as the leading minerals processing EPC contractor in Australia
- Repeat client relationship with Develop Global signals delivery credibility
- Copper-silver-zinc exposure adds commodity diversification across the order book
Why the Yitirrti win matters
GR Engineering positions itself as an established minerals processing EPC specialist across a broad range of commodities. The Yitirrti contract adds base metals exposure—copper, silver and zinc—to the contractor’s portfolio, demonstrating capability beyond any single commodity focus.
The repeat-client dynamic with Develop Global serves as a marker of reputation and execution track record. Clients return to contractors who deliver on time, on budget, and to specification.

What comes next
With the contract executed and early works plus long lead item ordering underway, focus shifts to project delivery. The announcement does not disclose a completion date or milestone schedule. Execution and delivery represent the next phase as GR Engineering progresses the 1.5 Mtpa Yitirrti processing plant.
The contract win reinforces GR Engineering’s order book momentum and positions the company as a repeat choice for major minerals processing developments across Australia.
