The MREE anomalies flank the structural orientation of dyke-like magnetic anomalies and display a NNW trend, remaining within the broader NNW-trending structural corridor. Rock-forming elements are predominantly associated with the magnetic anomalies and also form a parallel NNW-trending zone spatially coincident with the MREE anomalies. Soil sample grids are being planned over a central 5 x 3 km area as well as over additional selected areas.
Sacramento and Tapira
At Sacramento, coincident clusters of niobium and phosphorus anomalies occur in two areas within the prospect. One of the two clusters also contains coincident MREE anomalies. The eastern anomaly cluster lies along strike from one of the magnetic anomalies, while the second cluster is not associated with a corresponding magnetic anomaly. Both clusters are associated with carbonatite-related rock-forming elements, suggesting the carbonatite complex may be considerably more extensive than indicated by the magnetic anomalies alone.
At Tapira, anomalous niobium and phosphorus occur in four areas within the prospect, supported by associated anomalies in magnesium, nickel, and iron — rock-forming element signatures suggesting the presence of favourable host rocks for niobium mineralisation. MREE anomalies are associated with three of the four Nb-P anomalous areas.
