Brightstar Hits 226m at 3.11g/t Gold Including 1m at 449g/t at Two Mile Hill
Key Takeaways
- Hole TMHRCD26006A returned 225.7m at 3.11g/t gold from 284m, including 19m at 24.3g/t and 1m at 449g/t — the broadest and highest-grade intercept yet reported at Two Mile Hill.
- The Two Mile Hill deposit currently hosts 14.6Mt at 1.6g/t gold for 731koz, with infill drilling designed to upgrade Inferred material to Indicated classification ahead of mine planning.
- The tonalite intrusion widens from 60-80m at 200m depth to over 300m at 700m, with the deeper Shirvington Zone sitting entirely outside the current MRE and being drilled by a dedicated diamond rig.
- Both an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and a pre-feasibility study for Two Mile Hill are targeted for November 2026, representing a hard dual catalyst with a defined date.
- Brightstar's Goldfields Hub feasibility study projects A$1 billion in life-of-mine cashflows at a A$606 million NPV8, with plant construction underway and gold production targeted for June 2027 — Two Mile Hill is additive upside on top of an already-funded base case.
Brightstar delivers standout 226m at 3.11g/t gold intercept at Two Mile Hill
Brightstar Resources has received assay results from infill drilling at the Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit, part of the 2.9Moz @ 1.3g/t Au Sandstone Gold Project, including a broad, unconstrained intercept of 225.7m @ 3.11g/t Au from 284m in hole TMHRCD26006A. This standout result includes a higher-grade sub-interval of 19m @ 24.3g/t Au from 306m, which contains 1m @ 449g/t Au from 322m.
The infill programme targets increased geological confidence and a potential upgrade to Indicated classification ahead of the next Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) update and pre-feasibility study, both targeted for November 2026. The scale and grade of the intercept support a potential underground mining operation at Two Mile Hill, designed to complement the proposed open pit mining across the broader Sandstone Hub.

Headline drilling results from infill programme
Two drillholes delivered broad, unconstrained intercepts at Two Mile Hill:
| Hole ID | Intercept | From (m) | Grade (g/t Au) | Gram-metres |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TMHRCD26006A | 225.7m | 284 | 3.11 | 702 |
| TMHRCD26004 | 194m | 286 | 2.10 | 407 |
Higher-grade sub-intervals within these intercepts include:
TMHRCD26006A:
- 19m @ 24.3g/t Au from 306m (incl. 1m @ 449g/t Au from 322m)
- 19.1m @ 2.76g/t Au from 477m (incl. 0.8m @ 37.9g/t Au from 477m)
TMHRCD26004:
- 13m @ 4.35g/t Au from 322m (incl. 0.8m @ 53.6g/t Au from 324.2m)
- 13.3m @ 2.27g/t Au from 392m (incl. 1m @ 18.1g/t Au)
- 6m @ 5.54g/t Au from 450m (incl. 1m @ 30.2g/t Au from 451m)
These are reported as down-hole lengths. True widths have not been confirmed. Drilling was planned perpendicular to the interpreted strike of the mineralised tonalite intrusion.
Managing Director’s perspective
Alex Rovira, Managing Director
“The latest results continue to demonstrate the broad widths of the Two Mile Hill deposit and high-grade nature of the quartz veining within the host tonalite, with individual grades reaching 449g/t Au. These infill results are hugely encouraging for a potential future underground mining operation at Two Mile Hill, which is currently being assessed by Brightstar and Entech for inclusion in the upcoming pre-feasibility study. Prior to the recent discovery of the +300m-wide Shirvington Zone at depth, Two Mile Hill had already been identified as a potential large-scale underground mining operation, targeted to complement the proposed open pit mining in Sandstone. These infill results validate that concept, illustrating both grade and scale. The infill drilling increases geological confidence, with the results to be incorporated into the next Mineral Resource Estimate update and pre-feasibility study, both targeted for release in November 2026. Drilling continues at Sandstone, with two RC rigs at the Indomitable Camp (infill) and a growth-focused diamond rig drilling the exciting Shirvington Zone discovery at depth.”
Rovira noted that two reverse circulation (RC) rigs are currently at Indomitable Camp conducting infill work, while a diamond rig is drilling the Shirvington Zone at depth.
Understanding the Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit
Two Mile Hill is a steeply dipping tonalite intrusive stock hosting gold in thin quartz veins, frequently associated with pyrite and galena, with visible gold observed throughout the drilling programme. The deposit currently hosts 14.6Mt @ 1.6g/t Au for 731koz Au in the existing Mineral Resource Estimate.
Infill drilling closes the spacing between existing holes, which lifts geological confidence and supports an upgrade from Inferred to Indicated classification. This is a critical step for mine planning and pre-feasibility economics. The Indicated category requires closer drill spacing and higher confidence in the geological continuity of mineralisation.
Recent drilling has identified a significant widening of the tonalite at depth. At 200m depth, the intrusion is approximately 60-80m wide. At 700m depth, the intrusion exceeds 300m width. This deeper, wider section is referred to as the “Shirvington Zone,” which sits outside the current MRE and is being tested through extensional drilling.
The June infill programme comprised 6 RC holes (~1,500m), 22 RC pre-collars with diamond tails (~10,800m), and 2 diamond holes (~300m). This work targeted the shallower portion of the deposit where the tonalite is approximately 80m thick and where underground mining is being assessed.
Why these results matter for the investment case
Brightstar is advancing a large-scale gold development across Western Australia’s Goldfields and Sandstone hubs, with total Mineral Resources of approximately 4.5Moz.
The Sandstone Hub accounts for 2.9Moz @ 1.3g/t Au, with Two Mile Hill forming a cornerstone asset. The infill results validate both grade and scale for a potential large-scale underground operation, which management intends to complement the proposed open pit mining elsewhere in the hub.
The company is already advancing the Goldfields Hub into near-term production. A Feasibility Study (January 2026) outlined production of +75,000oz per annum for six years, generating approximately A$1 billion in life-of-mine cashflows, with a A$606 million NPV8 and 74% internal rate of return. Processing plant construction is underway, with gold production targeted for June 2027.
Key figures:
- ~4.5Moz total Mineral Resources (WA)
- Sandstone Hub: 2.9Moz @ 1.3g/t Au
- Goldfields Hub: 1.6Moz @ 1.6g/t Au
- Gold production targeted: June 2027
Two Mile Hill is being evaluated for inclusion in the upcoming pre-feasibility study. If successful, it positions the deposit as a material contributor to Brightstar’s production profile beyond the initial Goldfields Hub development.
