BOA Resources Hits High-Grade Copper in 28 of 34 Holes at Ricci Lee Prospect
Key Takeaways
- BOA has hit high-grade copper in 28 of 34 RC holes reported from its maiden 46-hole Ricci Lee program, including 8 of 11 in this release.
- The Main Lode is now demonstrated over more than 400m of strike and to more than 200m vertical depth, with a parallel Hanging-Wall Lode over 160m and open to the north.
- Headline intercepts include 10m at 2.78% Cu from 208m and 11m at 2.04% Cu from 253m, though all are down hole widths and true widths remain unknown.
- Assays are pending from 12 RC holes at Ricci Lee and 92 air core holes across five other prospects, with news flow guided through Q4 2026.
- A General Meeting on 12 October 2026 will vote on BOA acquiring the remaining 51% of Neds Creek and 100% of the Thaduna and Green Dragon copper deposits.
High-grade copper confirmed in 28 of 34 Ricci Lee holes
BOA Resources (ASX: BOA) has reported high-grade copper from 28 of the 34 reverse circulation (RC) holes returned so far from its maiden 46-hole program at Ricci Lee, part of the Neds Creek Project in Western Australia. Eight of the 11 holes in the 12 October 2026 release returned significant copper intersections.
For you as an investor, the number that matters is continuity. Scattered intercepts rarely add up to much, but high-grade copper repeating across hole after hole is what can turn a prospect into a resource-scale target.
The Main Lode is now demonstrated over more than 400m of strike and from surface to more than 200m vertical depth. A parallel Hanging-Wall Lode is demonstrated over 160m of strike and remains open to the north.
The five headline intercepts are listed below. All are down hole widths, and true widths are not yet known.
- 10m at 2.78% Cu from 208m (26NCRC021)
- 11m at 2.04% Cu from 253m (26NCRC022)
- 8m at 1.60% Cu from 87m (26NCRC014)
- 5m at 1.95% Cu from 104m (26NCRC016)
- 46m at 0.67% Cu from surface (26NCRC033)
Graeme Purcell, Managing Director, BOA Resources
“These results are important because they continue to transform Ricci Lee from a series of historical intercepts into a coherent, high-grade copper system…”

Section-by-section highlights
The table below sets out the five headline holes, drawn from Table 1 in the announcement.
| Hole ID | Section | Intercept | Including | Key takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26NCRC021 | 7173680N | 10m at 2.78% Cu from 208m | 8m at 3.33% Cu from 209m | Confirms and extends the high-grade intersection at depth |
| 26NCRC022 | 7173920N | 11m at 2.04% Cu from 253m | 9m at 2.44% Cu | Main Lode intersected alongside an upper splay |
| 26NCRC033 | 7173600N | 46m at 0.67% Cu from surface | 3m at 3.29% Cu from 34m | Strong oxide mineralisation |
| 26NCRC014 | 7174000N | 8m at 1.60% Cu from 87m | 3m at 3.53% Cu | Strong Hanging Wall Lode mineralisation |
| 26NCRC016 | Not stated in source | 5m at 1.95% Cu from 104m | 3m at 2.95% Cu | Further high-grade copper in the northern holes |
Hole 26NCRC022 also returned a second structure, 3m at 2.25% Cu, including 2m at 3.03% Cu, in an upper splay off the Main Lode. Hole 26NCRC033 also returned 3m at 1.44% Cu from 52m.
The earlier Ricci Lee results reported 20 of 23 holes with high-grade copper, including 10m at 3.60% Cu in 26NCRC032, and first outlined continuity over more than 400m of strike across three drill sections.
Southern sections complete
Sections 7173680N and 7173600N are now complete. Both show strong, consistent Main Lode widths and copper grades from surface to approximately 200m vertical depth.
Not everything is uniform, though. Several of the latest results sit on the southern margin, where Main Lode mineralisation, while present, is tapering in thickness and grade south of section 7173520N.
Emerging plunge control
An apparent shallow northerly plunge is emerging at the Main Lode. BOA says this will become clearer as remaining results are modelled, and it is expected to guide future drilling of the high-grade structure at depth.
Hole 26NCRC022 shows the Main Lode bifurcating (splitting into two structures) at depth. The company describes this as a common feature in the northern part of the system, and the structural controls on mineralisation remain to be resolved.
The relatively low-grade Main Lode intercept in 26NCRC014 sits immediately above that bifurcation. Its structural controls also remain to be resolved.
Understanding copper continuity and why it matters
RC drilling uses a hammer to break rock and returns chips to surface in samples, here collected at one-metre intervals. An “intercept” is the length of drill hole that passes through mineralisation above a set grade.
That length is not the same as true width. Because the drill hole may not cut the mineralisation at a right angle, the down hole figure can overstate or understate how thick the zone really is, which is why BOA notes true widths are not yet known.
Continuity matters because a maiden Mineral Resource (a formal estimate of the mineralisation’s size and grade) needs evidence that mineralisation links up between drill sections. BOA reports its intersections on the following basis:
- Significant intercepts are a minimum 2m down hole length above 0.2% Cu.
- Included high-grade zones are +1% Cu.
- Internal dilution is a maximum of 2m.
- Copper grades are uncut.
BOA says the results provide further evidence that the prospect may contain a significant high-grade copper domain, rather than a series of scattered, narrow mineralised zones. That is the company’s interpretation. It is not a resource estimate, and the announcement states no resource size.

What’s next for BOA at Neds Creek
Assays remain pending from the final 12 RC holes at Ricci Lee, plus air core (AC) drilling results from 92 holes across five additional Neds Creek prospects. The completed Neds Creek program comprised 138 holes for 13,086m, which BOA says provides substantial assay news flow through Q4 2026.
Purcell said the priority is to complete the geological interpretation and assess the scale of the system as BOA progresses towards a maiden Mineral Resource. He also noted that results from the five additional prospects “will also test the opportunity for a broader copper province over the wider project area.”
Neds Creek covers a 1,378km² tenement holding in the Yerrida Basin. It sits within the Capricorn Orogen, which also hosts the DeGrussa, Monty and Horseshoe Lights copper-gold deposits.
BOA currently owns a 49% interest in the project and is the operator. It proposes to acquire the remaining 51% of Neds Creek and 100% of the Thaduna and Green Dragon copper deposits, subject to shareholder approval at a General Meeting to be held on 12 October 2026.
What this means for you is a steady run of potential catalysts rather than a promise of outcomes. Pending assays, the geological interpretation and the shareholder vote will each shape how the picture develops.
