Cauldron Energy Links Paladin’s Manyingee Deposit as Resource Update Nears
Key Takeaways
- Cauldron completed 100 holes and 10,506m in 76 days at Yanrey, and says Manyingee North now connects to Paladin's Manyingee Deposit.
- Manyingee North's strike length has quadrupled, extending about 2,500m north and 550m south onto the newly acquired E08/2896.
- Manyingee South extends roughly 2,500m upstream beyond the 2026 resource polygon, though grades there are generally low and patchy.
- A JORC Resource update is due within 2 months, against an existing 55.6Mlb inventory that excludes all of this drilling.
- Around 30 untested palaeochannels and many undrilled cleared holes set up further drilling in early CY2027.
Cauldron Energy completes CY26 drill program at Yanrey Uranium Project
In its 6 October 2026 announcement, Cauldron Energy said its CY26 Drill Program at the Yanrey Uranium Project is now complete. The program comprised 10,506 metres across 100 holes, conducted over 76 days.
The company considers the program a significant success and says it represents meaningful progress. Three achievements stand out.
- Demonstration of the linking of Paladin’s Manyingee Deposit with Cauldron’s Manyingee North Deposit.
- Extension of Manyingee North northwards by ~2,500m and ~550m to the south onto the recently acquired E08/2896, which the company says quadruples the strike length of the deposit.
- Extension of Manyingee South ~2,500m upstream (southeast) beyond the limits of the 2026 MRE resource polygon.
The near-term catalyst is a JORC Resource update. Cauldron has commenced work on it and expects to report to shareholders within the next 2 months.
This release covers the final 23 holes at Manyingee South (26YRAC071 to 26YRAC093) and 5 holes at Manyingee North (26YRAC094 to 26YRAC098).

What did the drill results show about continuity?
Continuity matters because a deposit that keeps going gives a company more ground to define. Here is what the final holes showed.
How does Manyingee North link to Paladin’s deposit?
Cauldron says its drilling has shown that historic drilling at the Manyingee Uranium Deposit (owned by Paladin) did not close out the mineralisation. Drilling on E08/2896 extended mineralisation from the 2025 MRE polygon and connected it to Paladin’s Manyingee Deposit.
The earlier Manyingee North results first showed that mineralisation extended beyond the historic Paladin drilling, and the final holes on E08/2896 now build on that picture.
Two zones of mineralisation were intercepted: an upper zone at depths of ~90-95m and a lower zone at ~104-113m. Mineralisation extends across the full width of the Manyingee North palaeochannel and remains open to the north and east, where passive seismic indicates a tributary links the channel to the adjacent Ashburton palaeochannel.
What happened at Manyingee South upstream?
Mineralisation and indications of oxidation from redox front progression are generally present across the whole width of the palaeochannel. Grades in this upstream area are generally low and patchy, with higher-grade zones near remnant pockets of carbonaceous clays and sandstones.
Cauldron notes similar mineralisation occurs at Bennet Well, where the remnant “tail” of the deposit extends for at least 8 km back upstream. For you, that suggests patchy upstream grades are not unusual in this style of deposit, though it is the company’s comparison rather than a confirmed outcome.
The most significant intersections reported are below.
| Hole | Deposit | Interval | Grade | Depth from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26YRAC081 | Manyingee South | **0.74 m** | **532.0 ppm eU3O8** | **54.31 m** |
| 26YRAC097 | Manyingee North (E08/2896) | **0.52 m** | **454.0 ppm eU3O8** | **94.17 m** |
| 26YRAC079 | Manyingee South | **0.64 m** | **443.5 ppm eU3O8** | **47.45 m** |
| 26YRAC077 | Manyingee South | **0.62 m** | **407.8 ppm eU3O8** | **68.71 m** |
| 26YRAC094 | Manyingee North (E08/2896) | **1.02 m** | **376.5 ppm eU3O8** | **94.06 m** |
| 26YRAC080 | Manyingee South | **1.54 m** | **298.6 ppm eU3O8** | **46.13 m** |
Higher-grade mineralisation at Manyingee North sits in an elongate zone in the centre of the palaeochannel. It narrows to less than 200m wide between 26YRAC094 and 26YRAC097, and further drilling is planned to infill this gap.
Jonathan Fisher, Chief Executive Officer
“…the program went off without a hitch and that there are obvious signs of improvement and better management with each successive program…”
Fisher also said that next year there is “a lot of ground cleared” and the company “will be able to kick off drilling early as soon as the weather permits.”
How do palaeochannels and the redox front work?
Palaeochannels are buried ancient river systems. Uranium mineralisation in this style of deposit is associated with the redox front, the boundary where oxidised and reduced sediments meet.
Cauldron uses regional airborne electromagnetic (AEM) surveys as its first-pass method of locating buried palaeochannels. Passive seismic surveying then better defines the channels and their smaller tributaries, before aircore exploration drilling.
Mineralisation at Bennet Well is hosted in unconsolidated sands close to surface, and the existing resource estimates for Manyingee South and Manyingee North assume an ISL (in-situ leach) mining method. That is an assumption within the estimates, not a demonstration of feasibility.
Highly oxidised sediments were encountered 800m to the south along strike. Cauldron says these represent the termination of the regional redox front within the Manyingee Palaeochannel, so the termination lies within this gap.
The wider Yanrey footprint gives the company room to keep testing:
- ~30 palaeochannels identified in the tenement area that are yet to be tested
- More than 80 km of Early Cretaceous coastline
- ~1,493 km² across 21 granted tenements and 5 applications

What is the resource base and what comes next?
Cauldron’s existing Mineral Resources were all published before this drilling. No new resource has been declared in this announcement.
| Deposit | Tonnes (Mt) | Grade (ppm eU3O8) | Contained (Mlbs) | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bennet Well | **38.9** | **360** | **30.9** | Indicated & Inferred |
| Manyingee South | **21.2** | **319** | **14.9** | Inferred |
| Manyingee North | **14.9** | **297** | **9.8** | Inferred |
| Total | **55.6** |
Manyingee South and Manyingee North each host an existing Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate. The update that will encapsulate the CY26 results is yet to be released, so these figures do not yet include the new drilling.
Planned next steps include:
- The JORC Resource update, expected within the next 2 months
- Infill drilling in the gap between 26YRAC094 and 26YRAC097
- Further drilling in 2027 of the area between 26YRAC095 and 26YRAC098
- Drilling in early CY2027 on cleared ground, with many cleared holes not yet drilled due to insufficient time
There were two caveats. Time limited the drilling of cleared holes, and the two Manyingee Northwest scout holes (26YRAC099 and 26YRAC100) encountered cemented sandstones and cobble conglomerate and were unable to reach the base of the channel.
Cauldron says it will ensure that Wallis Drilling have the capacity to deal with these ground conditions during further exploration planned in the area in 2027. For investors, the practical point is that the Manyingee Northwest result is a ground-conditions issue to plan around, not a finding about mineralisation.
