Huckitta fluorite system proves bigger than the surface tells
New rock-chip and soil geochemistry results from Daly Resources confirm the Huckitta fluorite system extends well beyond previously mapped surface outcrops, expanding both east and west of the current Priority Target Area. The results represent a meaningful scale expansion at an early-stage explorer, arriving ahead of what would be the company’s maiden drilling campaign.
Standout rock-chip results from the latest programme include sample 26DL0090 at 74.2% CaF₂ and sample 26DL0072 at 50.1% CaF₂. These are selective surface rock-chip samples and do not represent true widths of the mineralised veins.
What the soil data is telling geologists
The programme completed a 10.7 km northern soil traverse, located approximately 1.3 km north of the main cluster of known fluorite veins. This represents a significant step-out from known fluorite mineralisation, testing a broader section of the prospective stratigraphy without requiring surface outcrop.
Multiple coherent fluorine-in-soil anomalies were defined along the traverse. Several appear to support the potential along-strike continuation of known fluorite-bearing trends, while new anomalous zones toward the eastern end of the traverse represent high-priority areas for follow-up. A further fluorite-bearing vein was identified through rock-chip sampling to the west of the previously defined Priority Target Area, extending confirmed fluorite-bearing geology into an area not previously recognised as part of the principal target footprint.
The western extension now joins a high-grade fluorite discovery 5km west of the original Priority Target Area, reinforcing the interpretation that the Huckitta system is a structurally controlled corridor rather than a cluster of isolated veins.
Importantly, soil anomalies do not directly confirm the presence of fluorite beneath individual anomalies. They function as a targeting tool for identifying prospective structures and areas where fluorite-bearing veins may extend beneath cover.
The traverse has confirmed four things collectively:
- Coherent fluorine anomalism 1.3 km north of known fluorite veins

The next phase of work will be a systematic regional-scale soil geochemistry grid across the full prospective basement geology within Daly’s tenure. The results will be integrated with recently completed high-resolution magnetic and radiometric aeromagnetic data to build a more comprehensive picture of the structural controls on fluorite mineralisation.
Geochemistry and geophysics integration at Huckitta has been building toward a ranked drill-target list, with prior soil and aeromagnetic datasets already shaping the structural model that underpins the upcoming maiden campaign.
Key objectives for the programme include:
- Identifying areas where multiple fluorite-bearing veins may be stacked or concentrated within favourable structural positions
- Ranking targets by grade, vein concentration, structural continuity and scale
- Defining whether extensive surface fluorite occurrences form part of a larger, structurally controlled system with significant subsurface continuity
For context, two historical airtrack holes were drilled on Daly’s tenure by Central Pacific Minerals NL. Drillhole PH1 intersected 6.1m @ 35.1% CaF₂ from 24m, while Drillhole PH2 returned 4.6m @ 16.5% CaF₂. Daly’s upcoming maiden drilling campaign would be the first systematic drill programme on the project.
