Cazaly Resources Extends Gold Trend 400m at Hastings Ahead of RC Drill Push

Cazaly Resources (ASX: CAZ) has confirmed Cazaly Resources Hastings gold mineralisation extends more than 400m south of a historic 38m @ 3.1g/t intercept, with RC drilling now planned at Hastings and the untouched 10.8g/t Gulls Blow prospect — the first modern test of a target sitting idle since 1986.

  • First-pass aircore drilling at Hastings extended the gold trend more than 400m south of the historic Kingwest intercept (38m @ 3.1g/t Au), with the headline result of 7m @ 1.2g/t Au from 58m flagged for immediate RC follow-up.
  • A 2,500m RC program is planned at Hastings to test the mineralised structure down-plunge into fresh rock, where the real prize typically sits in Eastern Goldfields deposits.
  • Gulls Blow — a separate prospect with historical intercepts up to 10.8g/t Au — has not been drilled since 1986; Cazaly's planned 4–6 RC holes to ~150m will be the first modern test of those results.
  • Cazaly reached 51% ownership of the Goongarrie Gold Project as recently as 27 August 2026, meaning this is the first systematic drilling campaign under majority control across 20km of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone.
  • The Bardoc Tectonic Zone corridor hosts Kanowna Bell (6Moz+) and the Super Pit (70Moz+) to the south, with the nearby Comet Vale project updated to 860koz at 3.7g/t in December 2025 — establishing the regional prospectivity benchmark.

Gold trend extended at Hastings as Cazaly prepares RC assault on Gulls Blow

Cazaly Resources (ASX: CAZ) has announced first-pass aircore (AC) drilling results from its Hastings gold prospect that extend anomalous gold more than 400m further south of the high-grade Kingwest intercept (38m @ 3.1g/t Au). With that trend now confirmed across a wider footprint, the company is planning RC drilling at both Hastings and a separate prospect called Gulls Blow — where historical high-grade intercepts of up to 10.8g/t Au have sat untested for almost 40 years.

The work is unfolding at Cazaly’s 51%-owned Goongarrie Gold Project, situated 90km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Tara French, Managing Director

“These first-pass AC results are an encouraging start to our drill progam at Hastings. We’ve extended the gold trend +400m along strike from the historic high-grade intercept and deeper drill testing is being planned to test the mineralised structure down-plunge in fresh rock. Importantly, we continue to rank and test priority prospects across the project — Gulls Blow is particularly compelling, with historical workings and shallow gold drill intercepts up to 10.8g/t, clearly this warrants further drilling…”

Hastings AC drilling results — what the first pass found

A total of 50 AC holes for 3,512m were completed at the Hastings prospect in July 2026. Samples were composited at 4m downhole intervals and analysed for gold by Photon Assay. Where composite results returned above 1g/t Au, those intervals were resampled at 1m intervals to sharpen the picture.

The headline result — 7m @ 1.2g/t Au from 58m in hole GGAC0353 — has been flagged as a priority target for immediate RC follow-up. This intercept sits within the weathered profile, above fresh rock, and points to a mineralised structure that remains open down-plunge. Gold anomalism is now confirmed +400m further south of the Kingwest high-grade intercept.

Key intercepts at a glance

4m composite results (≥0.3g/t Au):

  • 4m @ 0.94g/t Au (GGAC0350)
  • 8m @ 0.83g/t Au (GGAC0353)

1m resample results (≥0.5g/t Au):

  • 7m @ 1.2g/t Au from 58m (GGAC0353)
  • 1m @ 2.7g/t Au from 58m (GGAC0350)
  • 1m @ 1.9g/t Au (GGAC0356)

A planned 2,500m RC program is intended to test the mineralised structure in the fresh rock zone down-plunge at Hastings.

Gulls Blow — a high-grade historical target gets its first modern test

Gulls Blow is a separate prospect within the Goongarrie project, located on the Bardoc Tectonic Zone immediately southeast of the historical New Boddington and Frank’s Dam open pits. What makes it compelling is the combination of visible historical workings and high-grade drill results that have sat unverified and untested since 1986.

Those historical holes were drilled by Julia Mines NL and reported in WAMEX 19858. No follow-up work has been conducted in the roughly 40 years since.

Historical intercepts that are driving the drill decision

Hole ID From (m) To (m) Length (m) Au g/t Notable high-grade subinterval

GB2 44 64 20 1.2 —
GB4 50 58 8 1.5 incl. 2m @ 1.8g/t Au

Important disclaimer: These are historical exploration results sourced from Julia Mines NL’s 1986 report (WAMEX 19858). They have not been verified in accordance with the JORC Code and should not be relied upon as JORC-compliant results. The Company is not aware of any new information that materially affects these historical results, and intends to verify them through the planned RC program.

Gulls Blow Historical Intercepts

The initial drill test at Gulls Blow is planned to comprise 4–6 RC holes to approximately 150m depth (approximately 800m in total). A track-mounted rig will be used to access the hilly terrain, and field reconnaissance to finalise RC collar locations is scheduled shortly.

Why the Bardoc Tectonic Zone keeps drawing exploration attention

The Bardoc Tectonic Zone (BTZ) is, in plain terms, a major gold-plumbing corridor — a deep fault system that has concentrated gold mineralisation across one of the world’s most productive mining regions. It is the northern extension of the Boulder-Lefroy Shear Zone, one of the most gold-endowed structural corridors in the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia.

Goongarrie covers 20km of the BTZ, and that strike length is what gives the project its regional significance. To the south, the same corridor system has fed deposits including Kanowna Bell (more than 6Moz) and the Super Pit (more than 70Moz). More locally, Gorilla Gold’s Comet Vale project — approximately 10km away — had its resource updated in December 2025 to 7.3Mt @ 3.7g/t for 860koz.

These are benchmarks for the prospectivity of the region, not implied equivalents for Cazaly’s ground. But controlling 20km of the same structural system is the core of the investment thesis here.

What comes next for the Goongarrie program

Cazaly reached 51% ownership of the Goongarrie project as recently as 27 August 2026, making this the first phase of systematic drilling under majority ownership. Two near-term catalysts are now on the schedule:

  1. Field reconnaissance at Gulls Blow to finalise RC drill collar locations
  2. RC drilling commences at Hastings (2,500m) and Gulls Blow (4–6 holes to ~150m), with results to be reported to market

The Gulls Blow program is a particularly binary catalyst. Zero modern drilling has ever tested the high-grade historical intercepts beneath those old workings — the planned RC holes will be the first attempt to verify and potentially extend what Julia Mines identified in 1986. Results from both programs will be released as market updates as drilling progresses.
